Our Role:

Overview:

MHNSW sought out Flying Fish after their successful conversion and execution of the major international tour for the Australian Museum’s Tyrannosaurs: Meet the Family. The anticipation of a positive market response led Flying Fish to advise MHNSW to double the size of the exhibition and incorporate towers from the U.S. and Canada. For its North American premiere in December 2016, the exhibition opened to record visitation and has since continued to tour throughout the U.S. and Canada. Delivering significant brand extension and financial returns for MHNSW, the tour allowed them to widen their international touring program.

The exhibition’s interactive elements create a unique environment for families to explore and construct their own LEGO® creations, reinforcing STEM concepts through play. Towers of Tomorrow offers a platform for host institutions to promote their organizational mission and services to the public, with many institutions seeing new members and increased visitorship. The exhibition established a presence for MHNSW on the international touring exhibitions market, as well as increased exposure in their home country, attracting larger and more diverse audiences.

“We are closing in on 1 million visitors to our Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO® Bricks exhibition, one of Sydney Living Museums’ family-friendly traveling exhibitions created with Ryan McNaught, 1 of only 14 certified LEGO professionals worldwide.

We are delighted that our partnership with Flying Fish has enabled so many people to enjoy these iconic, eye-popping towers and create their own inside the exhibition.”
