Spiders—From Fear to Fascination was produced by the Australian Museum in 2017, combining live spiders, contemporary science, and cutting-edge interactive technology to captivate audiences. In preparation for a North American tour, the Australian Museum partnered with Flying Fish to enhance the exhibition with localized content, including live spiders native to the U.S. and Canada and state-of-the-art multimedia features. Flying Fish also organized the presentation of the exhibition at two Canadian venues—Royal Ontario Museum and Montréal Science Centre—in 2018, where it received phenomenal visitor feedback.
Flying Fish collaborated with the Australian Museum to enhance the exhibition’s content and interactivity, tailoring it for international audiences. Immersive features, including augmented reality experiences like the Forest Floor AR trail and Virtual Cave Spider simulation, were developed, creating captivating and fully interactive environments for visitors. Cohesive branding and graphic design were crafted to reflect the exhibition’s engaging themes of fear, fascination, and discovery, ensuring a visually striking and thematically consistent presentation across all venues.
